Arc Flash Risk Assessment – An Arc Flash Risk Assessment using incident energy calculations from an Arc Flash study can be performed in accordance with the IEEE1584, IEEE Guide for Performing Arc Flash Hazard Calculations” as referenced in NFPA 70 E, “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace”, 2018 Revision, in order to quantify the hazard for selection of personal protective equipment (PPE). Should you need a complete Power Study, HHC Safety Engineering Services, Inc. contracts with an Engineering firm and an Electrical Engineer, P.E, to complete the short circuit and device evaluation studies using the latest version SKM software to complete all studies. The Arc Flash study is a collaborative effort between HHC Safety Engineering Services, Inc. and the Engineering company. Arc Flash labels are provided once the study has been finalized.

NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety Training
HHC Safety Engineering Services, Inc. can provide two days of arc flash safety training and PPE that contains the requirements referenced in OSHA 1910.269, OSHA 1910 Subpart S and NFPA 70E. The training includes:requirements of the 70E standard, requirements of the OSHA 1910.331-335 standard for employee safe work practices, proper use of the system, analysis & data Interpretation of hazard labels; Selection and utilization of personal protective equipment; Safe work practices and procedures. There are 18 hands on exercises that employees complete in the two days of training. HHC Safety Engineering Services, Inc. provides a training certificate to record satisfactory completion by employees for continuing education credits.
Satisfactory completion is defined as the student obtaining a minimum of 70% on the post training examination and the ability to work safely if a hands on performance evaluation is provided.
