Arc Flash Risk Assessment – An Arc Flash Risk Assessment with incident energy calculations can be performed in accordance with the IEEE1584, IEEE Guide for Performing Arc Flash Hazard Calculations” as referenced in NFPA 70 E, “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace”, 2018 Revision, in order to quantify the hazard for selection of personal protective equipment (PPE). The 2018 Edition of NFPA 70E may be available in 11/2017. HHC Safety Engineering Services, Inc. uses the latest version SKM software to complete all studies.

NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety Training
HHC Safety Engineering Services, Inc. can provide two days of arc flash safety training and PPE that contains the requirements referenced in OSHA 1910.269, OSHA 1910 Subpart S and NFPA 70E. The training includes:Proper use of the system analysis data Interpretation of hazard labels; Selection and utilization of personal protective equipment; Safe work practices and procedures. HHC Services, Inc. can provide a training certificate to record satisfactory completion by employees for continuing education credits and re-licensing requirements.
Satisfactory completion is defined as the student obtaining a minimum of 70% on the post training examination and the ability to work safely if a hands on performance evaluation is provided.
